The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Table

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, fiends, and sinister influences growing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was clear from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense combat and conflict-driven story mode where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the developments of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing kicked off the narrative’s action—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:

  • Thimble, as the close ally and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan is familiar with Timmony and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team enter places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
  • Moreover, Teor pledged a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that control Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in pursuit of Casimir.

Upcoming Developments

According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we learn that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Questers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can anticipate finding out which players will be where in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
