I will dominate 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
