In a bizarre crossover event that breaks usual predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and monstrous transformations reverberate through the shadows." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.

The adventure concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Bonus Content

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an special katana alongside numerous artifacts concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's latest free story addition, titled "The Enigma." The series previously showcased a 2020 crossover story uniting Assassin's Creed: Valhalla with Makoto Yukimura's Vinland Saga.
